Sorensen first attracted Ford Motor Company's
attention
in 1977, following the publication of his now classic Ford
Life magazine and release of his first book The American
Ford in the Fordiana Series.
That year he was asked to produce Ford's
75th Anniversary book
The Ford Road. Since then he has produced a series of
historic car calendars for the company, consulted on
marketing projects and films, and produced historic film
documentaries about the company's cars. In 1983 he wrote and
produced a picture book titled Fords Forever for a Ford
marketing program of the same name.
To date, Lorin has written 12 books on
Ford cars. His authorship of Sears & Roebuck's 100th
Anniversary book led to his appearance on a recent A&E
Biography Channel documentary on Sears.
Currently, Sorensen has available 23
video titles and three books which comprise his Famous Ford
Series (all can be ordered on this website!).
Lorin is a longtime owner of a 1940 Ford
Deluxe woodie station wagon. He lives in Northern
California. |
